County Council Fails to Support Local BoyTue 2nd Mar 2010 The parents of a young boy with learning disabilities have been forced to educate their son at home because of a lack of support from East Sussex County Council. Hampden Park resident, Mrs Godden, says that her son Lee, who had been attending Causeway School, is having to be home-educated because the county education department refuse to assist them in paying for travel expenses to his school. |

Health & Safety - Taking a standMon 4th Jan 2010 Every Christmas Day for many years the Eastbourne Silver Band has played a free concert at the Bandstand. This year was no exception and the traditional event was packed with revellers. A regular highlight, for many years, has been for local children to be invited onto the stage to sing Away in a Manger. As the children lined up with their parents by the side of the stage the Bandmaster announced that, due to Health and Safety, the children were not going to be allowed up to sing. |
