Lib Dems Working for a Safer Upperton

The popular Upperton Gardens Park had become overgrown and a magnet for anti-social behaviour. Your Upperton Lib Dem Team listened to local residents about their safety concerns regarding unacceptable and antisocial activities occurring in Upperton Gardens Park. Your Upperton Lib Dems persuaded Eastbourne Council to cut-back the overgrown vegetation (once the nesting season had ended), which has resulted in the park becoming more visible from the roadside. Cllr Robin Maxted said: “This has opened up the park allowing this valuable open-space to again be safely used and enjoyed by all. “We will also ensure that the Council commits to maintaining this situation, with more frequent cutting, in the interests of public safety and amenity.”
