Lighting Success for Gildredge Park

Following several years of campaigning, working with local groups, conducting surveys and meetings, your Upperton Lib Dem Team were successful in their bids to the Sussex PCC and Community Safety Partnership for funding for additional lighting in our much cherished Gildredge Park. Eastbourne Council’s Heritage Team sourced 8 reclaimed heritage lampposts which were installed along the much used pathway between The Goffs, Saffrons Road and Compton Place Road. Dionne Daniel said: “School children and local residents have told us they now feel much safer walking across the park after dark.”
