Tory County Council Pothole Chaos

Years of underfunding of our roads by the Conservative-led East Sussex County Council has led to a record number of potholes everywhere in Eastbourne and more local residents tripping on our roads and pavements. Your Upperton Lib Dem Councillors continually lobby Conservative-led East Sussex County Council for repairs to our roads and pavements. Dr Kathy Ballard said: “We have had some success recently, with repairs to road surfaces on Enys Road, Upperton Gardens, Beechwood Crescent, Michel Grove, and St Anne’s Road but there’s still a long way to go.” We would also encourage residents to report potholes and dangerous pavements to East Sussex Highways by email at customer@eastsussexhighways.com, on their website www.eastsussexhighways.com/report-a-problem/roads/pothole-in-road or, in an emergency, on Tel 0345 6080193.
