The Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) for Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford are considering plans to close the NHS GP walk-in centre at Eastbourne Station.
Even before Covid-19, this much needed surgery was an essential part of our local NHS provision. Now, with Bolton Road surgery moving to Old Town, and the Grove Road and Lighthouse practices under increasing pressure, it’s important that the walk-in centre at the station remains.
Meads Ward County Council candidate Cllr Peter Diplock said: "It provides care not only to residents in Lower Meads and the town centre, but also to those unable to register with a GP and visiting tourists. Closing this facility is short-sighted at best and will only increase the huge strain on our NHS. Please do join us in signing this petition to save our walk in centre."
