Eastbourne MP with Petition
Eastbourne MP Josh Babarinde - Holding Southern Water to Account

For years, Southern Water has failed to listen to residents’ concerns.

🏖️ Our 94 beautiful beaches are being undermined by Southern Water’s repeated failures. Last year alone, they discharged untreated sewage into Eastbourne’s sea 91 times, for a total of 617 hours.

📈 Meanwhile water bosses are enjoying salaries that most of us could only dream of.

📉 …Whilst our service rate continues to plummet!

💩 Enough is enough! Southern Water must get a grip on the excessive raw sewage and the stench emanating from the Water Treatment Plant, now… not next year, as they’d previously suggested!

🗣 Over the past year, I’ve taken this fight right to the top, raising the issue in the House of Commons on several occasions.

✍️ I have now launched a petition allowing Eastbournians to also hold them to account.
