Enough is Enough: Resurface Devonshire Place Now

Back Jack and Josh's Campaign

Roads in Eastbourne are in a disgraceful state of disrepair. County Councillor Jack Morrell and Eastbourne MP Josh Babarinde are fighting to fix them.

After years of underinvestment by the Conservative-led County Council, our roads and pavements are in an absolute state. Nowhere is this more evident than on Devonshire Place.

The condition of the road has deteriorated so badly that buses have had to be diverted along Burlington Place.

We have written to the Director of Highways on several occasions, calling for urgent resurfacing works. While some small patching repairs have since taken place, these are only temporary sticking plasters.

Ultimately, the road needs a full resurfacing - not just another patch-up job.

The Government have recently announced a £297 million funding boost for road repairs across the South East. We have repeatedly challenged Transport Ministers to ensure that Eastbourne receives its fair share of this funding, so that roads like Devonshire Place are resurfaced as soon as possible.

Back Jack and Josh's campaign to put pressure on the County Council to act, once and for all.

Potholes

Enough is Enough: Resurface Devonshire Place Now

I/we the undersigned, back Josh and Jack's campaign to get Devonshire Place resurfaced.
