"Eastbourne Pier is the beating heart of our seaside town.

It means so much to me that I literally have it tattooed on my arm.

That's why I've launched this petition, calling on the Government to meet with our community, hear concerns, and work with us to explore every possible option to safeguard the pier for future generations"

We, the undersigned:

1) Recognise the importance of Eastbourne Pier to our local economy, our town's identity, and our shared heritage.

2) Acknowledge that Eastbourne Pier, along with many historic pleasure piers across the country, faces significant challenges, not least the substantial costs associated with maintaining these iconic structures.

3) Call on the Government to work with local communities, stakeholders and heritage organisations to explore what support can be made available to safeguard historic pleasure piers, including Eastbourne Pier, for future generations.
